INTRODUCTION
The presence of Cultural Heritage in the Curriculum denotes the importance that this element has in comprehensive education. However, the teaching and socio-economic potential that heritage assets have is rarely used.
In the educational field, and from the perspective of Heritage Teaching, it is necessary to adopt a new approach to the teaching and learning process, based on the students’ active participation, the application of active methodologies and a a big bet on interdisciplinary practice.
Likewise, it is necessary that public and private institutions collaborate on the learning process in order to ensure a total and high-quality education sustained by the achievement of learning objectives and the acquisition of key competences to reach social success, while getting involved as active and committed citizens at the service of community.
This Digital Tourist Guide that we are presenting now is the result of an educational innovation project starting the academic year 2018-2019 at the Adult School of Miajadas. In addition to the achievement of the learning objectives proposed and the development of a series of activities aimed at the acquisition of key competences, this guide is a product that our educational community offers to society for knowledge, understanding, evaluation and enjoyment of historic, artistic and monumental assets that are part of Miajadas’ Cultural Heritage.
